What if Greek Mythology were rewritten for today's teenagers? Beauty influencers become of the sirens of today. Wealth, power, and secret societies are able to hide the required sacrifices. It is only when an outsider stumbles in that all is revealed.

Review:
Abstract and Mini-Review
What if Greek Mythology were rewritten for today's teenagers? Beauty influencers become of the sirens of today. Wealth, power, and secret societies are able to hide the required sacrifices. It is only when an outsider stumbles in that all is revealed.
Recommendation Justification
A definite YA horror entry, so not as chilling or controversial as the adult titles, but also not as captivating as say a Mary Downing Hahn or Holly Black, so a pass except for the larger collections.
Uses in the Library/Classroom
Again, possible tie-ins with mythology units.
Appropriateness of Artwork Cover art slightly more drawing, but again would probably not draw a ton of readers.
