Abstract and Mini-Review
Red Kenny hates being poor Red, the girl everyone feels sorry for. Don’t say mom around Red – her mom died. Don’t talk about money around Red, she has none (can’t afford anything). Red especially hates that her best friend Maddy must always take care of her. Of course it is Red’s fault that she and her friends are joining everyone else for spring break by borrowing an RV and driving, versus just hopping on a plane. So when the RV goes of course putting them in a harrowing situation reminiscent of the best Michael Crichton, James Patterson, or Sidney Sheldon, Red knows that this is all her fault. As the title tells us, only five survive, only by reading will you find out then who dies.
