This is A School Library: Connecting Stories to the Readers Who Need Them Most (aka the Jen & John Library Love Tour)
The School Library Systems in the Rochester Region are delighted to offer you a full day of learning with Jennifer LaGarde (Library Girl) and Jon Schu (Mr. Schu). Jen and John will focus on how the universal truths found in stories can change us, inspire us, connect us to others, answer our deepest questions, and help us heal, connecting our most vulnerable readers to the stories they need most is at the heart of this engaging and interactive session designed for K-12 school librarians and teachers. The workshop will take place on April 19, from 9am-3pm at the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES Conference Center in Newark, NY. The attached flyer provides more information. NYLA 2023 Annual Conference Call for Proposals
The New York Library Association’s Annual Conference will take place next November 1-4 in Saratoga Springs, NY. The 2022 NYLA conference offered a rich slate of learning opportunities for school librarians, and we hope that next year’s will as well. The call for Program Proposals opened on February 7 and closes on March 7, 2023. If you are interested in presenting, please consider submitting a presentation proposal at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WFSY2DP . Registration for this conference generally opens in early summer.
