Digies Conference Day

The Genesee Valley Educational Partnership is hosting their annual Digital Media in the Classroom: Digies Conference Day on December 14, 2018 at Genesee Community College.  All are welcome to attend.  The day includes a keynote and breakout session and each participant leaves with a micro:bit starter pack.  Please see the attached flyer for a more complete description and registration information. For High School Librarians…..

Planning is beginning for another regional High School to College Research Skills full-day event, to be held in the latter part of May 2019.  Jim Belair from Monroe 2 BOCES and Laura Osterhout from the Rochester Regional Library Council are chairing the event and are inviting interested individuals to participate in the planning committee.  If you would like to participate, or if you have an administrator who would like to be a part of the planning process, please contact Jim (jbelair@monroe2boces.org ) to volunteer by Friday, November 30. 

Additional information about the event will be provided as the planning progresses.

2019 Three Apples Award

The finalists for the 2019 Three Apples Award have been announced (there are three categories, based on grade range.  To participate, students must read at least three of the nominated books (but the more the better!) between now and April 1.  Eligible students may vote their choice during the month of April 2019.  If you and your students would like to participate, information can be found in the attached flyer (click the picture below) or at https://www.nyla.org/max/4DCGI/cms/review.html?Action=CMS_Document&DocID=1344&MenuKey=3apples.
