FlipGrid Video Embed

To the left, you'll see a video I created using a free FlipGrid account. It's a pretty easy program to use, I like it because you can display the book cover image next to you as you talk about the book.

There are a number of ways to embed a collection of FlipGrid videos into your LibGuide or website, so keep scrolling down for more options.

Flipgrid Collection Embed

To the left you'll see a Flipgrid Discussion Collection embedded into the box.

An alternative to embedding, you can always use a link into Flipgrid, and open it in a new page: https://flipgrid.com/a5918331 (this is displayed in the last box below).

I'm not a fan of the way the information at the top of the box is displayed, but I haven't figured out how to remove it. There are alternative collection types that you can embed, listed below.

FlipGrid Mixtape

The mixtape collection type is another way to collect FlipGrid videos together for display. This allows you to bring videos created for multiple discussion threads into one collection. The videos are displayed together without any space between them, and there is still some messy looking information at the top.

Links to Flipgrid Videos

For this box, I used the "Link" content type in Libguides, and just linked to the flipgrid videos. I linked the book covers to make the list more visually pleasing.

Putting a Picture in a FlipGrid Video

During the first session, we had a camera conflict so I was unable to show how to record a video in flipgrid and add a picture to the recording. (I have since figured out how to do this). To the left is a short tutorial on how to record a flipgrid response.

Don't forget to freeze your discussion when you're finished.
