Below, are instructions for using the Media Literacy Lesson Directory, found above.
When you click the grade level that you're looking for, a spreadsheet will open. This spreadsheet will include a list of lessons (the title is linked to the lesson), and across the row you will find information about the media literacy skill that the lesson teaches, and a description of the lesson.
Click the filter buttons at the top to pull up a box with a list of skills.
At the bottom of the box, uncheck all of the skills except the ones that you are looking to teach, and click ok.
Read through the list. When you find a lesson that you would like to open and pursue further, click the title of the lesson to open it up. To access the lesson you may have to create a free account with the organization that developed the lesson.
We have not included any lessons belonging to questionable organizations. If you would like more information about the organization, you may click the organization name in the spreadsheet.
